General Information


Local Currency is the Moroccan dirham (MAD).

Foreign currency can be exchanged at banks or other accredited establishments.

Credit cards (Visa, MasterCard and American Express) are generally accepted in foreign-friendly restaurants and shops.


Arabic is the official language of the country but French is commonly used and English is second language.


Electrical sockets usually supply electricity at between 220 and 240 volts. If you're plugging in an appliance that was not built for 220-240 volt electrical input, or an appliance that is not compatible with multiple voltages, you will need a voltage converter.
